Over 15 years ago, when GL Plus, LLC was first being introduced to the world, I wrote a letter to introduce myself and the company. It went something like this:

“When we first started designing the corporate website we struggled with the text that should be placed on the site (techies that we are). We know we have this great idea, we research if there is a market for it, we plan how to build it, and then reality hits and all the little things that come with starting a company raise their ugly heads (hey, at least we knew to register the company name!). Founder of the company that I am, I decided to take on this monumental task of introducing the company and our products to the world despite my complete desire to say, ‘to hell with it’ and hire a technical writer.

So, I sit around brainstorming for hours coming up with all these big words and mixing in all the standard tech terms I can find to somehow let the world know exactly what it is we plan to achieve. Finally, I very excitedly came up with, ‘We create and build technological innovations designed to revolutionize the grocery shopping experience’. EUREKA! BOOYAH! I think I have GOT IT and send it to my wife for her approval thinking she is going to be seriously impressed. She replies to my email with, and I quote, ‘I don’t understand technological innovations… Sounds fancy schmancy but I don’t know what it means.’ And I realized immediately that she was right.

We aren’t in business to dazzle you with fancy words or cool animations (although we could). We are in business to make your grocery shopping experience easier. To make your life simpler. To make sure you rarely, if ever, run out of an item you need from the grocery store again. Cool slogans don’t do that. Fancy websites don’t do that. Creating great products that address your needs as a consumer or a business in the most efficient and effective way possible is what really matters the most. THAT is our goal and what we promise to always deliver.

Customer satisfaction and developing great products is what GL Plus, LLC is all about. Yes, we use cool cutting-edge technology and our mobile apps have awesome features. Yes, we offer services that have never been offered before in this field. And yes, we think our products are exceptional. But we would rather show you that instead of telling you in some fancy terms that even someone that is around our products every day doesn’t understand.”

It is amazing to me that all these years later the mission pretty much remains the same. Even though the company has expanded to cover multiple industries and sectors over the years, our belief that creating great products that address your needs as a consumer or a business in the most efficient and effective way possible is what really matters the most still holds true to this very day.

If anything, I have found that in these days of automation and AI it is our personal interaction with our clients that makes us stand apart from our competitors. We believe that the foundation of all our projects begins with clear communication and transparency about our process and how we will exceed your expected results. Of course, we still use cutting-edge technologies and develop awesome products and services — but we still understand the value and importance of personally interacting with our clients.
